Asset Reporting
The Asset Reporting function audits each system twice a week for:
- Current, recently-added, and recently-deleted software applications
- Current, recently-added, and recently-deleted logical drives
- Current, recently-added, and recently-deleted memory
- Current, recently-added, and recently-deleted hard discs
- Current, recently-added, and recently-deleted network adapters
This report can be viewed at any time, but the information is typically prepared for you in our monthly Executive Report.
back to topAntiVirus Check and Update
The AntiVirus Check and Update audits each system every four hours for a current, supported, up-to-date antivirus program. We recommend and supply, free of charge, AVG 7.5 AntiVirus for this purpose. The Anti-Virus report displays information comparing the anti-virus definitions on each machine to the definitions available per the vendor (we currently support and manage Norton Antivirus, Norton SystemWorks, Symantec AntiVirus, Symantec Mail Security, McAfee Virus, McAfee Managed VirusScan, Mcafee Total Protection, Trend Micro OfficeScan Client, Trend Micro PC-cillin, and CA eTrust Antivirus). If the definitions are out of date (by more than 2 days for desktops and 1 day for servers) then we consider your antivirus on that particular machine "Not-Synchronized" and we'll notify you.
This report can be viewed at any time, but the information is typically prepared for you in our monthly Executive Report.
back to topSpyware Scan and Removal
The Spyware Scan and Removal function uses Counterspy from Sunbelt Software (provided) to scan and remove spyware once per day. This report can be viewed at any time, but the information is typically prepared for you in our monthly Executive Report.
back to topPatch Assessment
Our Patch Assessment function works in conjunction with the Windows Update Agent (WUA) to install Windows updates as they are presented to the general public. Since these updates can sometimes interfere with programs installed on each machine, we offer our customers the following three options:
- Auto Deploy White Listed patches
When you select this option we will download all white listed security patches from a secured location (Datacenter) and install them. - Auto Deploy All Patches
When you select this option, we will scan and install all the security patches found missing. - No Auto Deploy
When this option is selected, we will not carry out any automatic deployment. You can inform us which patches to install and when to install them by opening a new ticket.
Temporary File and Internet Debris Removal
Our Temporary File and Internet Debris Removal function seeks out and removes temporary internet files twice a week. A report of the number of files and amount of disc space cleared is available at any time, but is typically prepared for you in our monthly Executive Report.
back to topService Pack Rollouts
Our Service Pack Rollout function allows you to schedule network-wide upgrades to your operating system and applications.
back to topSMART Anti-HD Failure Check
Our SMART Anti-HD Failure Check function evaluates the likelihood of future hard drive failure. By using S.M.A.R.T. technology (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology), we are able to monitor and report on S.M.A.R.T. enabled hard disks. This allows us to communicate the hard disk's predicted reliability status, which can prevent system downtime, productivity loss, and even loss of valuable data. The S.M.A.R.T. report includes information such as, Seek Time Performance, Temperature, Seek Error Rate and Uncorrectable Sector Count etc. and if errors are detected, is presented during our monthly Executive Report.
back to topCritical Event Log Monitoring
Our Critical Event Log Monitoring function monitors the Event Logs of each server every 15 minutes and reports any alerts back to us.
back to topDevice Status Check
Our Device Status Check function monitors servers and network devices every two minutes. Should one come offline, a notification will be sent out immediately. A Device Uptime report will be generated each month, and is also viewable on a daily basis.
back to topApplication Status
Our Application Status function monitors the status of all installed critical applications (antivirus, automatic updates, event log, DHCP client, and more) and compiles their respective uptime into a graphical illustration that can be viewed daily, weekly, or monthly.
